General Help

Kannu has a calendar feature to help you keep track of your courses and organize classes/meetings. You can access the calendar through your top nav.

If you have a preferred calendar app, Kannu can also export your events to that calendar for you. Click the gear icon in the upper right, and then click "Export Calendar." Copy the URL, which you can use to import in apps like Google Calendar and iCal.

Your calendar will be automatically filled with course dates, session dates, and due dates. Plus, anybody can create a custom event! Here's how:
  1. Click anywhere on your calendar to create an event. If you've used a calendar app before, you'll see some familiar fields: title, start and end time, and location (optional).
  2. Use the "Calendar" dropdown to connect events to a specific course, or keep it in your personal calendar. You can also invite students. They'll automatically receive an email invite to the event.
  3. Add an optional description for your event. Use the repeat section to customize how often your event repeats, if necessary.
  4. Lastly, if you're meeting someone online, there's a place for you to add a video call URL. This URL will be attached to the event for all members.
Syncing in iCal:
  1. In the iCal app, go to File > New Calendar Subscription
  2. Paste in the URL you copied from the Kannu calendar
Syncing in Google Calendar:
  1. On the left-hand nav, click the arrow to the right of "Other Calendars," and select "Add from URL"
  2. Paste in the URL you copied from the Kannu calendar
  3. Click "Add Calendar"
  4. Note that Google only updates imported calendars once a day. That means that any new event in your Kannu calendar could take up to 24 hours to show up in Google Calendar.
